Great Ads – Seen in the Berlin Hauptbahnhof

The ad isn’t all that exciting, but I thought the slogan under Baden-Württemberg was great. “Wir können alles. Außer Hochdeutsch.” Roughly translated it means, “We can do everything. Except High German,” obviously a self-deprecating comment on their regional dialect/accent.

A shame Saxony didn't think of it first.

Update: Dexter tells me this particular slogan was in fact offered to Saxony first, but they turned it down over fear of being made fun of.

  1. I thought it is just the Bayern against the north (Preussen), but I guess it more like the south against the north. Overall its a funny ad.
